Son Tumba’o is Houston’s hottest and most energetic Latin sensation. The members of this young local band give a fresh new look and feel to Latin music entertainment. Founded in August, 2000 by Emmanuel Gonzalez, Son Tumba’o has established its name as one of Houston’s most entertaining bands.

Son Tumba’o delivers a powerful performance. With Victor Reyes from El Salvador on congas, Antonio Isturiz from Venezuela on timbales, and Emmanuel Gonzalez on guira and bells, their delivery of music marks the difference in a percussion-driven, fun and energetic band. On bass, the band features a master of the strings and phenomenal back-up vocalist, Daniel Betancourt from Colombia, better known as “El Bebe De Las Cuerdas” (The Baby Of The Strings). His mastering bass-solos and soothing vocals add to the phenomenon that Son Tumba’o has become. On keyboards, the band presents the well-renowned Rene Menendez from El Salvador. And of course on lead vocals is H-Town’s salsero Jerry Castro from Mexico and Juan Carlos De La O also known as “El Nino De La Bachata” (The Kid Of The Bachata) from El Salvador.
